I’m Matt, an AA-recognised, DVSA-approved instructor based near Tamworth. You’ll learn with me from your first lesson to your test. ADI no. 840019.
Coming in Autumn 2026, I am transitioning my learners from my Peugeot 2008 to my new VW ID.5. Learners will move over gradually, taking upcoming test dates into account to ensure everyone has plenty of time to feel comfortable and confident in the new car.

Absolutely. Many learners come to me feeling anxious or lacking confidence, and that’s completely normal. Lessons are calm, patient, and always taken at your pace, with no pressure to rush or push beyond what feels comfortable.
Where do lessons start from?
Lessons start from your home, work or college/university address, as agreed when you book. The pick-up point needs to be within the area I cover and stays the same unless we agree to change it in advance. That way, I can plan my day and make sure every learner gets their full lesson time.
How many driving lessons will I need?
Everyone learns at a different pace, so there’s no fixed number of lessons. Some learners progress quickly, while others need more time to build confidence. I’ll always be honest about your progress and what I think will help you most.
Do you offer block booking?
Yes. 10 hours for £330 or 20 hours for £660, both paid upfront. Message me on WhatsApp to arrange a block.
Do you offer refresher driving lessons in Tamworth?
Yes. Refresher lessons are ideal if you passed your test years ago but haven’t driven for a while, feel nervous on certain roads, or want help with things like roundabouts or motorway driving.
Can you help with driving test preparation?
Yes. I offer focused test preparation, including mock test-style lessons and help with local routes. The aim is to make sure you feel confident, prepared, and calm on test day.
